A 32-year-old female, address unknown, has been charged with deliberate homicide in connection with the death of a 25-year-old man outside Domino's Pizza on Main Street on Tuesday, according to Lt. Casey Hafner.

Shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday, Billings police dispatch received a call regarding an alleged drunken driver in the area of Walmart in Billings Heights driving a Gray 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe with Washington license plates, according to Hafner.

An hour later, dispatch received another call from a witness who was following the same vehicle. The vehicle pulled into the Domino’s Pizza parking lot at 904 Main St. where officers made contact with the driver, Lindsay Haugen, 32.

Officers noticed a male in the vehicle that appeared to be unresponsive. Officers attempted CPR, called for medical backup, but emergency crews were not able to revive the victim.

The responding officer felt that the death was suspicious and summoned detectives. After interviewing Haugen, she was charged with Deliberate Homicide.

The name of the victim will not be released until an autopsy is completed and family members are notified. The investigation is still ongoing.

Haugen's residence and the victim's residence are not currently known. Initial information is that they were travelling through Montana to North Dakota from Washington, according to Hafner.
