A Few More Thoughts on Glenn Frey

So, as we are flying home over the Gulf Of Mexico Sunday, when I should have been thinking about the week at the resort in Mexico, I was thinking about losing Glenn Frey of the Eagles.

Even though he's a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he's still somewhat underrated. In my opinion, anyway. Cofounder, singer, songwriter, producer, guitarist, pianist and part of those magical year when songs came out of one little speaker in the dashboard of my mom's Volkswagon Bug.

His death was somewhat overshadowed by David Bowie's passing a few days before. For many of us fans of what was on the radio in the 70's, things won't be the same. And for some fans, it was their version of "The Day The Music Died."

As for the original Day The Music Died, that was when we lost Buddy Holly, the anniversary of that one is tomorrow.
