If you remember last year, two of the first three Alive After 5 events in Downtown Billings were rained out. Over the last 2 weeks she threatened to ruin both events but in both cases, for the most part, the rain was avoided.

Last week in front of the Fieldhouse the black clouds that are somewhat typical of Montana weather this time of year loomed in the afternoon and for just a few minutes dropped the lightest of sprinkles. Last night in front of Don Luis, after a spectacularly sunny day, the clouds rolled in but no rain fell. Call it luck, call it serendipity but whatever the reason we'll take it.

Festival season only lasts a few months in the Magic City and so far every Alive After 5, Fix at 6 and Billings Bike Night has gone off without a hitch. Friday's forecast calls for afternoon thunderstorms BUT we're on a weather winning streak so, fingers crossed, we'll see you tonight at the Fix at 6 at Shooters.
