I can't believe that school will be back in session in roughly a week and half.  Are you ready?

Are you one of those people that have their back to school shopping done by February?

Do you follow the back to school list put out by the schools or do you just buy what you think your child will truly need for school.

Let's face it does a 6th grader need 24 plus number 2 pencils?

How about when your kids go to high school, do you buy ahead of time or do you send them the first day with a pencil and a notebook and then buy the supplies needed based on their classes they are taking?

How about the school they attend?  Are you happy with that school?  And if you're not, why is it you can't choose the school they go too?

I'm a firm believer that not every teacher is good for every student and not every student is good for that teacher.

Why can't we as parents choose the school our children go to?

What  about the bus services?

You can't ride First Student if you live within three miles of the school, unless you pay roughly $150.

There of course is the MET Transit for the kids to ride or parents can just take them to school.  Taking your kids to school if great, unless you work 8am to 5pm and it's a Wednesday and they have late in.

Why in the hell would they have one day, in the middle of the week, have them not go until 9:20am?

Don't even get me started on the food program?

I have lost count the number of times that my kids have had last lunch and they had run out of main course, so they had to have salad and a sandwich, but got charged like they had a full lunch.

How if you know you have X amount of students would you not have X amount of food or more (bi believer in having a padding for the just in case times)

Am I ready for the kids to go back to school?  Sure, am I ready for the bullshit ahead for the year?  NO.
