I am originally from Los Angeles, but grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. In between I spent two years of my childhood in Montana. One in Great Falls and the other in Havre. My mom married a Canadian when I was 9, and we moved to Canada. Because the winters in Edmonton were too damn cold, I moved back to California once I was 21. My radio career has taken me to Casa Grande, Ariz., and to Palm Springs, Fresno and San Luis Obispo, Calif., and back to Edmonton, and Yakima. I play poker, basketball and flag football in my free time. My claim to fame is that my wife Monica is sisters with the former Miss El Salvador 1996, who came in sixth in that year's Miss Universe competition. Of course I think my wife is prettier than her sister! I also have a 12-year-old daughter named Noel who is in junior high and was the fifth-grade champion high jumper.

Montana Ranks 7th in Most Locally Grown Foods
It may not seem like a big deal but eating locally grown foods is great for the economy here in Billings because you're supporting local farmers. It's also good for the environment because the food costs less to transport and food this fresh is great for your body...
America, The Consumerist Society
Many folks, especially during political season, lament that it's the lack of morals that has led to what they believe is the downfall of America. You constantly hear the chant "We have to take America back", whatever that means. Usually they don't like who is in power because it's not whom they voted for...
Dick Fosbury To Light The Torch At The Big Sky State Games
Dick Fosbury, who revolutionized the high jump by winning a gold medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City while setting a then world record of 7 feet 4 1/4 inches. He was the first to jump over the bar backwards instead of forwards...
Workout Hard For A Year And A Half, Lose 36 Pounds… Slack Off For 5 Weeks, Put 17 Back On
Working out is a pain in the butt. It's time consuming, results come slowly even to the most dedicated and it's not fun. But you feel pretty good about yourself after sticking to it for awhile and seeing real results. So imagine how sick to my stomach I was when, after I moved and got out of my routine for 5 weeks, that I had gained 17 pounds...
As Much As I Can’t Stand Tom Brady, Deflategate Is Much Ado About Nothing
I play flag football and I play quarterback. As a passer it's nice when the ball has a little give. You can get a better grip and control the ball better. I don't even understand why the NFL has a rule regarding the exact inflation of the ball...
Flashback Of My Dog Who Was Run Over
On April 14th 2009 my dog Phoenix got loose, ran out onto a busy street and got herself killed. I had her for 11 years. My wife found her when she was a puppy after she ran under her car at a stop sign. I had to coax her out from under and then I took her home...

E-Mail Pet Peeves
Today I received an e-mail that said "Your quick response is appreciated". I understand everyone thinks their issue should be everyone else's first priority, that's human nature. It's also human nature to see that kind of comment and want to make the response time as slow as possible...
You Could Have Your Own Garage Sale But You’ll Make A Lot More $$$ At Billings Biggest Garage Sale
About once per year when my family and I get ready to sell the old stuff taking up space in the garage, we get really excited as we start to add up the value of everything in our minds. Then, after a bit of rudimentary math, we calculate that even if we get half of what we ask for for everything, that we could generate $300 to $400 -- if we sold it all...
Command Strip Failure
As I deck out my new pad in cool mid century modern furniture I'm always looking for that extra accent that really makes it scream Mad Men. We have some really cool antique shops in downtown Billings which are just the place to find a cool clock like this early 60's brass sunburst clock...
Homeward bound? I’ll Make a Custom Map
So, I was having a beer with my buddy at a local brew pub. (I'll call it "Infuriated Henry's" so as to not give them free advertising. But I think you know where I mean.) I was trying to explain to him where a friend of mine lives in Northern California...
Has Technology Really Made Our Lives Better?
It's conventional wisdom that computers and modern technology have raised our collective standard of living. In some instances there is no argument. Computer models predicting severe weather, GPS's in our smart phones and (in my case) organizational tools like Outlook calendars have saved lives, time and made us more productive...
