I am originally from Los Angeles, but grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. In between I spent two years of my childhood in Montana. One in Great Falls and the other in Havre. My mom married a Canadian when I was 9, and we moved to Canada. Because the winters in Edmonton were too damn cold, I moved back to California once I was 21. My radio career has taken me to Casa Grande, Ariz., and to Palm Springs, Fresno and San Luis Obispo, Calif., and back to Edmonton, and Yakima. I play poker, basketball and flag football in my free time. My claim to fame is that my wife Monica is sisters with the former Miss El Salvador 1996, who came in sixth in that year's Miss Universe competition. Of course I think my wife is prettier than her sister! I also have a 12-year-old daughter named Noel who is in junior high and was the fifth-grade champion high jumper.

The By-Product Of Beer
I was walking through a downtown alley on my way to grab lunch and I passed behind a well known microbrewery and saw these barrels of wet grain in the back. If you've ever taken a tour of the brewing process then you know these are the remnants of making the nectar of the gods...

City Of Billings Public Works Director Says Residential Streets Have Been 90-95% Plowed… Really?
In an email to the Billings City Council Public Works Director Dave Mumford said 90-95% of Billings residential streets have "seen" the plow. Maybe he meant that a plow showed up somewhere on a fixed point along each street somewhere on its route because he couldn't have possible meant for instance that Clark Avenue just west of downtown had been plowed the entire length of that road...

How People Wasted Time At Work Before Facebook
Back in the day, before people could check their comments on Facebook, play Candy Crush or Tetris on their cell phones people had to use real objects to spend their "down time" at work. I remember having a Nerf basketball with a little hoop that hung over my office door...
Remember When Our Local TV Nostradamuses Said The High Yesterday Would Be 34 Degrees?
Yeah, me too. I've pretty much come to the conclusion that whatever you hear your local TV weatherperson say you can count on the opposite. As you can see from the photo I took from outside the front door of my Montana Ave. apartment building last night it was not 34 degrees...
Chipotle To Open In Billings
I'm hoping this is happening soon. I moved here from California about 2 and a half years ago and I'm going through withdrawl. As chain restaurants go Chipotle is one of my favorite. They've been working on their new building on Grand Avenue across from Panda Express for 5 months now...
There Should Be A Separate Section For Small Children On Airplanes
This Christmas I visited family in California and had a great time... I hope your holidays were equally as rewarding. Of course when you fly around the holidays you're likely to encounter more families with kids on the plane. On my flight from Salt Lake City to Billings last night there was a family of 4 (with two small boys) who decided, of their own accord, to sit in other peoples seats because
