By winning the MVP award, Manning also received a brand new 2012 Chevy Corvette from General Motors. On Wednesday, the Obama administration rejected a bid from TransCanada to build the Keystone XL Pipeline, an oil pipeline linking Alberta to refineries in the Gulf of Mexico. The $7 billion, four year project was estimated to create thousands of jobs, has been delayed due to a lack of environment studies surrounding the project.
