Flakesgiving 2012 is underway, with the completion of Day One we are ready for to hand out some Thanksgiving meals!
Another year and another Breakfast Flakes trip winner! We had a great time and Paul and I want to thank everyone that came out and braved the weather for a chance to win a free trip to Mexico! We always have a great time getting to meet with our listeners and sharing a damn good time! We would love to see you again this week, we are always looking for more volunteers for our Flakesgiving charity event.
If you missed it, we had a great party out at the Wild West Saloon, but don't take my word for it. Check out all these great photos we got from the party.
Just a little something from the archives because we figured you guys are all sick and tired of listening to and/or reading about politics. So we dug this little gem up out of the archives. Paul read a story about a bunch of kids who decided to stage a protest at their high school dance because they were upset about the new "Dirty Dancing rules".
Senator John McCain and Represantitave Denny Rehberg came by the studio today to talk about the current state of affairs in the United States. It was a pleasure to speak with both of of these distinguished men
Dear Cat Country Listeners,
As we slowly sneak up on Flakesgiving, I just wanted to give you a heads up on the most asked questions. The event will be at Metrapark again this year November 16 & 17. Meal assembly is Friday, and we'll give them out and deliver Saturday. Volunteers are asked to be there at 10:15 on the day they can help. We know that we've got several groups from FFA chapters, the Huntley wrestlers, players from Halos Baseball, Veterans Upward Bound and many more helping, but we can never have too many folks helping out.
Squirrels are apparently put on this earth to harass humans. Between wreaking havoc on crops and causing accidents on the back roads of the United States, they should be labeled Enemies of the State!

I've been working with Paul for a very long time, and I've grown accustomed to what I like to call "The Farmer's Dictionary". It would appear that they've got words for just about everything, and while I've got my copy quite full, I'm learning new words every day.
Here is Paul today talking about what constitutes a "Smudge"
Today for Weird Wednesday we were asking people where their name come from. We got a lot of great answers. And while we didn't receive too many calls with people of the same name, it did get me thinking about what are the most popular names here in the United States
Do you feel like you need a vacation? Better yet, do you feel like you could use a FREE Vacation?
It's that time year again, the annual Breakfast Flake trip, and we want you to come along with us!
Today was weird Wednesday, and today on the show we decided to discuss people's Phobias. Whether it be the fear of Spiders (Arachnophobia) or the fear of water (Aquaphobia).
Here's some audio from our discussion today, we took a few calls from listeners who shared their phobias with us
The Breakfast Flake Bits is a post that shares some highlights from today's Breakfast Flake's Morning Show.
Today Paul was happy to announce that he has given up hope on his new phone and gone back to "Old Reliable." While discussing the move back to his old phone, Mark noticed that Paul's list of things he is willing to put up with is rather short! And that includes the "fifty million IT guys" we have in the back office that can't seem to get him an e-mail by 7:00am.
We've all had bad days, and some times those days tend to draw out into bad weeks and beyond unfortunately. If you know someone like that who you think could use a nice reminder that they're are folks out there that are thinking about them and rooting for their success than we want to hear from you
