Best Authentic Mexican Food In Billings

First off, let me get this obligatory disclaimer out of the way:

• I've never been to Mexico, so I'm guessing at the whole "Authentic" thing

If you're a fan of Mexican food, you should check out La Tinga in downtown Billings, 113 N. 30th St. (next to the Art House).

I'm pretty unimaginative when it comes to ordering Mexican food, so I can really only speak to the basics (tacos and burritos), but in my opinion these are the best in town.  The prices are more than reasonable and the lady (I should have gotten her name) who does the cooking is always pleasant and friendly.  In fact, I would say by your 3rd visit she will no who you are and likely what you want.

The ambiance isn't fancy, so if you're looking for a private booth and a Mariachi band, it might not be what you're looking for, but it's simple and clean with some tasty eats.  Perfect for a quick breakfast or lunch.
