Bet You’ve Never Had This in Your Chimney

Birds, yes. Bats, why not? Squirrels, possibly. A person, what? Yep, a person in your chimney and no, it wasn't Santa.

Speaking of Santa, he better be careful this year because someone in Fresno, California decided that going down the chimney to rob a house was a good idea. He was wrong, dead wrong.

Authorities say the suspected burglar died after getting stuck in a chimney of the house he was set to rob.

The homeowner in the rural town of Huron heard someone yell after lighting a fire in his fireplace Saturday afternoon and alerted authorities.

Apparently the homeowner tried to put out the fire as his house began to fill with smoke. Firefighters who rushed to the house used jackhammers to break open the brick chimney, but when they got to the man he died. I guess he was responsive during the rescue but when it came down to final brick, he couldn't hold on.

Now I've heard of some strange things being found in chimneys over the years, but this has got to be the most bizarre I've ever heard.
