Big Sky Honor Flight Takes Off From Billings [AUDIO]
The Big Sky Honor Flight project continues for the state of Montana. The five previous flights have all flown out of Billings.The sixth flight is coming up with another plane load of WWII veterans, men and women!
The next Big Sky Honor Flight takes off for Washington D.C. this Sunday morning. Becky Hillier and Yellowstone County Commissioner, Bill Kennedy were guests on The Billings Morning News and reminded us why there is a Big Sky Honor Flight program in Montana.
Honor Flight recognizes American Veterans for their sacrifices and achievements by flying them to Washington D.C., to see their memorial at no cost. Top priority is given to World War II and terminally ill Veterans from all wars.
Urgent reminder that at 11:59 p.m. September 3rd is the deadline to get an application in for being considered for the May 2014 flight to Washington D.C.. The September 8th flight and October 13-14 flights are full.
