Big Sky Little League All-Stars Make History
The Big Sky Little League All-Stars have already make history by being the first ever Montana team to make it to the Little League World Series and to go 3-o in the series. In an nail-biting finish last night with a walk off home run by Ben Askelson, Montana won 1-0 to send them to the Big Sky All-Stars to the U.S. championship game on Saturday at 1 p.m. MST.
Big Sky will play the winner of tonight’s loser-out game between the Oceanview All-Stars from Huntington Beach, Calif., and the Keystone All-Stars from Clinton County, Pa.
The winner of Saturday’s game will face the winner of the international bracket in the World Series Championship on Sunday, also at 1 p.m. You can read more on the Billings Gazette’s website.
As the All-Stars get set to play the big game this weekend, many local businesses are helping out with donations for the families to help with the cost of their travel expenses to Williamsport for the series.
Those wishing to donate can send donations to: Hello Williamsport Fund, First Interstate Bank, Attn: Amy Carter, PO Box 30918, Billings MT, 59106.
