Billings Man Who Assaulted Nuns Gets More Charges
32 year old Christopher Pine was arrested August 16th and charged with the the beating of two Billings nuns during a home invasion and three counts of robbery on August 14th.The home invasion was one of several that happened over the Summer.
The nun beating happened at an address on Gregory Drive on August 14th. After further investigation it is suspected that Pine gained access to the home by using a pry bar. On October 7th Pine appeared in front of Judge Fagg and pleaded not guilty to all eight counts levied against him.
90 year old, Sister Mary Maronick and 79 year old Sister Clara Sherr survived the beatings for about five to ten minutes. Pine is also suspected in a separate home invasion on 11th street West.

Pine’s prior felony convictions date back to 2000, including an escape charge in 2005
Christopher Pine’s trial date is December 9, 2014.
