Several months ago I wrote a blog about Billings being named one of the most livable cities in the United States according to the website Livability.com which ranked the Magic City #98. It now appears I found out what let us sneak into the Top 100... it turns out, according to Livability.com, that Billings is among the Top 10 cities for BEER (cue the singing of angels).

Billings was ranked the #10 city in America for having the best beer. “Being a great beer city has positive implications for attracting talent, fostering business and drawing in tourists,” says Livability editor Matt Carmichael. “But most importantly, it means you have great beer." Yours truly, being a gentleman who appreciates the finer things in life like hot wings, pizza and BEER, concurs. Montana Brewing Co. has picked up six medals at the Great American Beer Festival since 2008, Uberbrew has one of the biggest selections and my personal favorite, Angry Hank's, makes the best damn Belgian Ale I've ever had... their Anger Management Belgian Wheat. Carter's makes an awesome Brown Nut Ale and let's not forget Yellowstone Brewing's Nitro!

Downtown Billings even has the Tipsy Trolley that operates during the summer covering the craft brewing circuit giving beer connoisseurs free rides between breweries. What more could a beer drinker want?
