How bad has this winter been?  Billings is now only 7 inches away from setting a new record for snowfall in one year.

The snowiest winter on record was 1996, when 98 inches fell in Billings.  We're currently sitting at 91 inches.  March is usually the snowiest month of the year, so it's only a matter of time before that record falls.

Paul joked, the way this year's been going so far, we could break that record by 5 pm.  Luckily, it'll probably be at least a week before the next big storm moves in.  When it does, we'll able to say that we survived the snowiest winter in Billings history.
