Congratulations to Mr. Craig Beals, the Chemistry teacher at Billings Senior High School has been named the 2015 Montana Teacher of the Year by the Montana Professional Teaching Foundation.

Beals was chosen for several reason, especially his innovative new ideas for applying the principles of chemistry to the every day lives of his students.  Several years ago, Beals created a project that allows students to personally pick their topic and teaches them how chemistry affects those products.  He then created a website http://www.bealsscience.com, for students to post their reports, which has been viewed by tens of thousands of people all over the world.

Kudos to Mr. Beals.  It's a tough task to make a tough subject like chemistry exciting for students.  His contributions have helped make Billings a better place to live.
