Blake Shelton is looking for some help from country music fans to reveal his co-host for the 2013 ACM Awards ceremony.

A fun graphic on the ACM's official website shows a scale that, once full, will unveil the 'Sure Be Cool if You Did' singer's upcoming co-host. The Academy is asking fans to re-tweet a message on their own Twitter account, promising that the mystery co-star and date of the ceremony will be announced once the tally hits 25,000 tweets.

Shelton's pal and fellow Oklahoma native, Reba McEntire, announced in September that she would not return the ACMs stage as host for the upcoming event. The singer invited Shelton to help co-host the ceremony the last two years, and has emceed the annual event more than a dozen times since 1999.

“No. [I’ve] passed the torch to Blake. I’m a huge Blake Shelton fan,” McEntire says of her decision to walk away from her long-running hosting tradition.

"I hate it -- I really do," Shelton says of her departure. "But, you know, she's busy. She's got her sitcom going now, and I get it. So, those are big shoes to fill."

With McEntire gone, the singer and the ACMs have had to lower the bar quite a bit in their search for a co-host. At this point, the only requirement is somebody that can read. "You know, this is country music… and that's narrowing the field down," Shelton jokes.

The 2013 ACMs date is still under lock and key, but it has been confirmed that the ceremony will return to Las Vegas for the next two years. The 50th anniversary of the ACM Awards will be held in Dallas, Texas in 2015.
