Carrie Underwood sure knows how to celebrate birthdays. The singer's husband, Mike Fisher, turned 36 over the weekend, and the couple rang in his birthday with a bang — quite literally.

As it turns out, the Fishers own a cannon. And what better way to say Happy Birthday than by firing it off? Underwood posted a video of the event on Instagram on Sunday (June 5) in honor or her husband's big day.

"And for such an occasion, we celebrated by bringing the #boom Happy birthday, Mike!" she captioned a video of the cannon going off.

The day included a specialty cake from IveyCake Store, located in Franklin, Tenn. The creation was a deer with the inscription, "Happy Birthday, Mike."

"The perfect cake for the almost perfect man! @mfisher1212, you are my one and only...my best friend...my better half. Happy birthday!!! I love you!" Underwood writes, sharing an image of the deer cake.

Underwood and Fisher celebrated their son's first birthday in February, also with a cake from IveyCake Store. Her son, Isaiah, turned a year old on Feb. 27, blowing out the candles on an aquatic birthday cake.

The country superstar just wrapped her Storyteller Tour, but she's not done on the stage — Underwood will perform at the 2016 CMT Music Awards Wednesday night (June 8).
