It's a battle between two American Idol champions in this new Showdown round. Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood faces off against newly-crowned Season 15 champ Trent Harmon, who won the last-ever season of the iconic television reality singing competition Thursday night (April 7).

Underwood's latest single is "Church Bells," but it's not a song of faith as some of her other recent hits have been. Instead, the pop-country track finds the powerhouse vocalist adding another body to the count of men who have done her wrong and paid the ultimate price.

Harmon's debut single at country radio in the wake of his Idol win is "Falling," which Idol judge Keith Urban co-wrote. The song is so sexy it's almost too hot for country radio — with "almost" being the key word. It's easily the best country debut single from an Idol winner in years, and Harmon has plenty of fans who've already demonstrated their willingness to vote for him. Will that be enough to get him past Underwood?

Listen to clips of both Underwood and Harmon’s songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Monday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Monday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
