Thanks to everyone who entered our "Salute the Soldiers" contest.   The stories have been fantastic.  Here's a few more Hometown Heroes that we'd like to recognize.

Christa Lowery nominated her husband Paul
"Paul has been in the National Guard for 17 years . I met him on out first deployment and now we are married. I'm 2012, we both deployed to Afghanistan in two separate units. We had to leave our two children behind with family. While there, he did everything to make the transition easier for both of us."

She didn't know it, but Paul also wrote in to nominate Christa
"Christa and her husband were deployed to Afghanistan at the same time with two different Montana National Guard Units. In 2012, they left behind two small children who had to stay with family for the year while they where gone. As difficult as this was she kept her head high and served her country honorably."

Jessi Beard wants to salute her husband Josh
"He is my husband and we had the pleasure of doing our tour to Afghanistan 2 years ago together. We got married there actually, we thought it would be a cool story for our kids some day! He is one of the greatest men I know, very strong and honorable. Though I am a veteran too, I'm so proud to say I am also the wife of one. Its very humbling and he is just an amazing man through and through."

Nicole Krieger wants to recognize Bill Freeman
"Bill is an amazing man, full of compassion.  He served overseas for four years."

We were humbled to hear so many amazing stories from Cat Country listeners who have bravely served our nation.  From the bottom of our hearts, we thank each and every one of these hometown heroes for their sacrifice, courage and patriotism.

We wish we had enough tickets to send everyone who entered to Wrangler Patriot Night at the NILE Rodeo on Saturday.  In the end, we randomly drew 3 names from the entries.  Josh Baird, Victoria Wolf and Darryl Guffey are the big winners. They're each getting 4 VIP tickets for the NILE, a $100 gift certificate to The Rex and they'll be personally recognized during the rodeo on Saturday night.
