Hopefully you have the pink shirt, pants, shoes, hat, and whatever else you can wear for tonight's "Pack The Place In Pink" event at Skyview High School.
This town is talkin'. Tim Tebow is comin' to town!
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and time for the annual "Pack The Place In Pink" at Skyview High School Thursday, October 27th. The Skyview Volleyball team takes on their cross town rival the Billings West High Golden Bears, and "PPP" is raffling off a pink electric guitar autographed by Miranda Lambert!
Randy Houser plays dozens of dates every year, but when he rolls into Mississippi next month for a show at the Neshoba County Coliseum, he and his band will be putting something extra special into their performance.
That night, they won’t just be playing for the fans — they’ll be playing a benefit for Thomas Carson, the band director whose guidance helped inspire Houser to finish school, head to Nashville, and start his career.
With more than 23 million albums sold in the US, four Grammy nominations and three Top 40 hits, Kid Rock has been more fortunate than most. But even after more than a decade as one of the most successful recording artists in the world, he hasn’t forgotten the importance of reaching out to those in need.
In fact, that’s just what he’s doing with his fall tour, which has him visiting a series of small theaters across the country and donating the proceeds to local charities and individuals.
To help support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, country star Keith Urban is donating a customized Fender guitar to an auction benefiting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.
Bidding for the guitar, which is black and adorned with a pink ribbon, will start at the end of October, after Urban has played it at each of this month’s shows.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. I would venture to say most people have been affected by the dreaded disease of cancer at sometime in their life. Whether it's themselves, a family member or friend, cancer has no rhyme or reason. It doesn't have a standard of income, age, sex or color. I know this firsthand as my sister Jeanne was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 42 in 2002.
Brad Paisley visited more than 30 cities on his 2011 world tour and he’s gearing up to hit the road next year for a string of dates with Scotty McCreery, but he couldn’t say no when he was recently asked to do an extra bit of traveling – to Sesame Street.
He and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams Paisley, appeared as part of an upcoming prime time special dedicated to helping fight childhood hunger.
Congratulations to Auto Body Specialists - CARSTAR in the Heights for being the U.S. Bank/Cat Country Small Business of the month lunch winner for September. They enjoyed a catered lunch from Downtown Subs.
Trace Adkins‘ latest hit single is titled ‘Just Fishin” — and that’s exactly what a lucky group of Big Brothers and Big Sisters got to do on his private lake recently.
Adkins invited members of the Middle Tennessee Big Brothers Big Sisters organization out to his farm last week, and they spent the day on his lake, enjoying activities like swimming, paddle boating, and, yes, fishing.
