My dad has taught me a lot over the years. He's still better than I am at pretty much all of it, but the basic "dad skill" I have, I owe to him. Apparently, these little things I take for granted are on the decline across the country.

I've loved carnivals since back when I thought being a carnie was probably the greatest job in the world. These days, even though I question the safety of the rides and the life choices of some of the employees, I still get a nostalgic feeling wandering around and will probably ride a few things with the kid.

In the article, a Texas veterinarian says there are three or four times a year where he has to treat or euthanize a horse or cattle that has fallen because of a prairie dog hole. That's some expensive damage and an obvious reason for ranchers to want rid of them.

Will Pence's visit on Wednesday (6/12/19) help Meth addiction in our state? The quick answer is no. The visit itself won't do anything, which is why I am hoping he lays out an actionable plan that makes sense. This problem isn't just a Montana issue, it's an American epidemic. It has wreaked havoc in my hometown and I would really love to hear a solution that makes sense. Not only have a heard a plan that I think will work, I can't even conceive of one.
