With flu season slowing taking down everyone you know, it's safe to say you'll be making a trip to the doctor's office pretty soon. No one likes going to the doctor-- it's one of those things we just have to buckle down and do, despite wanting to drag our feet and pout like a two-year-old.
We'd like to take a moment to give sweet, sweet thanks to our girl J.K. Rowling for introducing us to the coolest wizard of all time-- Harry Potter. Why? Because he rules. Remember how Harry fought off Lord Voldemort and had an awesome pet owl? It's impressive stuff.
The Michael Bay reboot of 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' -- which is rumored to just be called 'Ninja Turtles,' since the turtles will be neither teenagers nor mutants -- should come out sometime in 2014.
If there's one thing Tumblr is good for, it's single-serving microblogs that are Kanye West-related portmanteaux . First, there was Kanye Wes Anderson, and now we have Kanye West Wing. We're hoping for Kanye Westward Ho, which will put his lyrics over the stills from the 1935 John Wayne movie, Kanye Wes Craven, which will Photoshop Ye's head onto Freddy Krueger's body, and Kanye Stabbing Westward, which will just be mashup Kanye songs with music from the industrial rock band behind the hits 'Shame' and 'Save Yourself.'
This is a fairly self-explanatory activity -- photos of pretty young women are juxtaposed with photos of them looking pretty awful. Interestingly, many of these Reddit submissions come from the young ladies themselves. Why they do this isn't obvious. Perhaps it's that timing is everything? To show that they're pretty and, well, some version of funny? Whatever their motivation, there's no denying that these transformations are certainly spectacular, if nothing else.
The Oscars just won’t be the same this year without Uggie the Dog in attendance, but fear not! We refuse to live in a world where there isn't at least one dog at the Oscars, and we also refuse to do anything in moderation. Naturally we must present these posters for seven Oscar-nominated films if they’d featured all-canine casts. Take that, reality. We wonder which one will *fetch* the most awards this year (hahahahaha sorry).
For such a solemn event, yesterday's presidential inauguration sure did span a lot of cute GIFs. It helps that the Obama family has two young daughters to keep things entertaining. They laugh.
