Fewer and fewer people are carrying cash these days. And I guess I understand. Some of you use your card to pay for everything with a card so you can track every single cent that you spend. And some of you are going farther in the hole with every card purchase...

They watch their country spend money they don't have so what do you expect them to think? We are failing them miserably.

Part of the issue nowadays is that people younger than me pay for everything with a card. Debit card, credit card, and so on.

How about something a little lighter today? Today we tackle self-check-out versus having a cashier ring up your stuff and having somebody else bag it up for you. I'm a self-checker-outter because I've gotten pretty fast at scanning and bagging my own groceries...

Construction is nearing completion on some new businesses in Billings, with several other properties already having their openings in the Magic City.

"Mark, you are IMPOSSIBLE to buy gifts for because you already have everything," says everybody in my life.

Can you recall the greatest, largest, or most fantastically amazing store or business you have ever been in? For me, it happened twice while I was in Boise for Jake's wedding.

I couldn't help thinking about what we are doing to the most fertile land in the valley. Taking all of that prime farm and cropland out of production, covering it with pavement and growing commerce.

Instead of adding some rarely bought items to my grocery list, I just sit down at my laptop, and with a couple of clicks, my much-needed item is on its way. And it won't be forgotten on my next visit to the store.

So do you folks get apps for everything? I don't, at least when it comes to buying things. But, they're everywhere. We are currently running a cash contest where you have to load the code word on the app. Tons of people take part. I have to tell you I have used different airlines apps for my ticket and I like that...

I hate it, but I get it. It's hard to find employees these days.

Let's look at all the other things that come in gallon jugs that you can buy cheaper.
