As many of you know, Paul raises a couple hundred head of cattle on his ranch north of Billings.  And for ranchers all over the country, it's time for an annual tradition.  The shucking of the Rocky Mountain Oysters has begun.  It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it.

In what can only be described as a case of "too much information", Paul saw something extraordinary during an otherwise productive weekend on the ranch.  One of the young bulls they were castrating had the biggest oysters Paul has ever seen.  Paul's not sure if the calf was born that way, or if he had an unfortunate injury, but they were a sight to behold.  Paul estimates they were the size of a 4 year old bull's.

Luckily, Paul made it through the weekend in a lot better shape than those young bulls did. If you're not feeling motivated at work today, just imaging how those calves feel this morning.
