Magic City Blues- Montana’s Urban Music Festival has announced one of the headliners for this year’s outdoor summer fest.  Chris Issak will headline the show on Friday night!  He will take the Budweiser stage on Friday night at 10:30 p.m.

Issak is an American rock musician and occasional actor.  He signed with Warner Bros. Records in 1984.  His first album “Silvertone” produced two singles, “Gone Ridin’” and “Livin’ for Your Lover” that were featured in David Lynch’s cult classic “Blue Velvet.”

Issak is best known for his song “Wicked Game,” released on his 1989 album “Heart Shaped World.”  An instrumental version of the song was later featured in the 1990 film “Wild at Heart.”  The single became a top ten hit in February 1991.  The music video was a big hit.  It was shot in black and white and starred Issak along with Danish supermodel Helena Christensen.  Remember this?

Isaak has also done work in television as well.  He composed the theme song for “The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn.”  He also starred in his own television show, “The Chris Issak Show” from 2001-2004.

Issak recently released an album called “Beyond the Sun.”

Popa Chubby and Little Freddie King and the all will also perform on Friday night as well.

Tickets for the this year’s Magic City BluesFest go on sale on May 18 at Holiday Station Stores, Rimrock Mall and by phone at 534-0400 or online at magiccityblues.com. They are $49 per day, $79 for a two-day combo or the best deal is $119 for all three days!
