Cyber Bullying or Just Kids Being Kids?

What constitutes Cyber Bullying? We now live in the wonderful world of technology with smart phones, I pads, laptops and Wi-Fi.

There’s Facebook and twitter and the latest website craze Ask.fm.  Ask.fm is a site where you can post a question about something, whether it’s personal or just about a general thought or activity and people can respond with their thoughts.

Not a bad idea right?  WRONG!

As I monitor my children’s social networking habits, I have come to realize the enormous amount of cyber bullying that is going on.

What is the fine line between kidding around and out right bullying?

Is it joking when they call another kid names that are so disgusting that it makes an adult blush?

Is it kidding when they throw out the F bomb and threaten to kick the S*** out someone?

What about what is said on cell phones, because it is a phone does it make it ok to spew out horrible language and threats and call names.

Is it harmless fun when a child is in tears because others are saying such hurtful things about them?

Another concern, are the parents of the cyber bullies even aware or do they care what their children are up to?

Has this fast paced world of technology opened unlimited doors to bullying?

What do you think?
