David Nail and his wife, Catherine Werne, are celebrating Christmas a little bit early with the arrival of twins.

The couple welcomed a son, Lawson Brent Nail, at 7:44AM Saturday morning (Dec. 12) at a Nashville-area hospital. Their daughter, Lillian Catherine Nail, followed at 7:45AM. According to People, Lawson weighed in at weighing in at 6 lbs., 2 oz., while Lillian weighed 5 lbs., 14 oz.

“No words can describe the feeling,” the couple share in a statement. “Beyond worth the wait. We are crazy in love with them both.”

The singer and his wife revealed they were expecting twins on the red carpet at the CMA Awards in November.

“I’m as ready as you can be,” Nail said. “It’ll be our first children, so having two right off the bat is gonna be an experiment, but hopefully the good lord blesses us with ability to care for them.”

Catherine is a second grade teacher in Nashville, and Nail admitted adjusting to the kids' needs will be a challenge.

“That’s the unfortunate thing: You can’t just start out with kids in second grade, you know, potty trained and everything.”

In November, the couple told the Boot that naming the kids was still up in the air.

“We haven’t really settled on names,” Werne said. “It’s hard with two.”

“We kind of want to look at them and make sure they look like a Matt or a John," Nail added.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
