Between promoting her 'Red' album and putting on live performances worldwide, Taylor Swift has become very familiar with Times Square this year. That's why it's only fitting that she would close out 2012 with a performance at 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2013' in the Big Apple.

A few weeks ago, rumors surfaced that Swift was part of the program's star-studded lineup when Ryan Seacrest dropped some obvious hints during an interview on ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.’ But until the official list of performers was announced yesterday, it was all speculation.

The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' hitmaker will be in good company on the national stage. Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida, Brandy, Neon Trees -- and other yet to be announced artists -- will all help ring in 2013 during the rocking party.

Unfortunately, it will be an especially emotional year for New York’s standard New Year’s Eve bash. After the passing of longtime host and entertainer Dick Clark, the ball drop torch will be handed to ‘American Idol’ host Ryan Seacrest for the first time. Seacrest and his co-host, Jenny McCarthy, will dedicate the first two hours of the program to the late, but still much-loved, Clark.

There's still no word on what song Ms. Swift will choose to kick off a new year, but our money is on something hot from her latest album.
