Do You Care If Somebody Is Late?

I had a conversation on facebook with a friend about being late for the first class of the day in high school. She had two points to make. One, it's only a few minutes late. And two, if you are more than 5 minutes late, you are counted as absent for that entire class.

My beef is with not being on time. It's a huge pet peeve of mine. If you can get to concert on time or get to the airport for your flight to Hawaii on time, then you can damn sure get to school or work on time.

For the folks who work, and you don't think that getting there on time is a big deal, did you mention during the job interview that you wouldn't be able to get to work "on time"? "Look, I'll be a few minutes late everyday". I doubt that you mentioned that.

If you're not 5 minutes early, then you're ten minutes late. It's just something that matters to me.
