It's the week of Halloween and I started wondering, how many people of the actual names of those that scare us on scary movies?

Turns out there's a lot more than I thought, at least nation wide.

The Whitepages combed their directories to see which horror movie characters have the most common names among U.S. residents.

Here's what they found:

1. Michael Myers (Halloween): over 4,280
2. Stephen King (Author): over 2,060
3. Norman Bates (Psycho): over 95
4. Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th): around 30
5. Annie Wilkes (Misery): around 25
6. Jack Torrance (The Shining): around 10
7. Wes Craven (Director): 7 or more
8. Alfred Hitchcock (Director): 7 or more
9. Max Cady (Cape Fear): 6 or more
10. Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street): around 5

Kind of scary huh? What about Billings though? There's got to be a few of these names floating around here.
