So my wife and I broke down and let the kids open one family Christmas gift. We don't normally do it this early, but the kids have been extra good and we wanted to show them that we have noticed their good behavior and let them have something fun to do.

When I arrived home after work yesterday, we sat together as a family and had the kids open one specific gift that was for them all. Once opened, they were excited to see the Angry Birds Space board game.

Four boys and four players on this game. They spent the entire evening playing this game over and over. It was nice to hear them playing and laughing with each other as one player would take over the other and vice versa. I even got a few games in with them too which made things even more fun for me.

Times like these are what make good solid memories, not only for them, but me too.

Do you let your kids open a present early?
