Americans love their dogs. (We especially love this bulldog perpetually circling the table.) But is parading them around in front of everyone a sport?

A dog show is basically a pageant, and we don't consider someone like Honey Boo Boo and or Miss America a notable athlete. So why is something like the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show reported on by ESPN?

Sure, Banana Joe is one adorable pup, but maybe his exploits should be covered by different channels, no?
