Dr. Thomas Kovacs

Dr. Thomas Kovacs has provided exceptional orthodontic care to Montana and Wyoming residents since 1994. He attended California State University, Northridge, and ultimately earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific. A post-graduate residency again at the University of the Pacific, allowed him to develop a greater expertise in orthodontic treatment. Annually attending continuing education courses enables Dr. Kovacs to stay at the forefront of the orthodontic specialty; this allows Dr. Kovacs to offer his patients the finest in orthodontic care. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Montana Ninth District Dental Society, The American Association of Orthodontists, the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, and the Montana State Orthodontic Society. He is also past president of the Montana State Orthodontic Society.

Dr. Kovacs enjoys his role as the premier orthodontic provider in eastern Montana. He loves getting to know his patients, and with school-aged children of his own, he has a knack to putting the younger patients at ease. Not only is he passionate about providing the best orthodontic treatment, he takes great interest in giving back to the youth of the community. He is a major provider for Smiles Change Lives, a national organization that provides life-changing orthodontic treatment for under-privileged children. He donates financially to the many schools and youth programs in the Billings and Miles City area. He enjoys what he does and it shows.

Dr. Kovacs has many interests. He loves the Montana landscape, and enjoys sharing the outdoors with family and friends. An avid snowboarder, he enjoys the challenge of racing down Lone Peak, at the very top of Big Sky. He has participated in the Montana Peaks to Prairie duathlon and other races as well. In the fall, many weekends are spent on the football field, coaching the youth of the Billings community.

Dr. Kovacs is happily married to his wife Darcy, and together they have four children- Taylor, Shay, Ben, and Jake. Dr. Kovacs’ first love is spending time outdoors with his family enjoying the great state of Montana.
