The town of St. Marie was a fully operational town in Montana until recently. It housed up to 10,000 people from 1957-1976 when the Glasgow Air Force Base shut down after the Cold War.

During the war the base housed B-52 Bombers and refueling aircraft.

When the base shut down, nearly everyone packed up and left this small town in northern Montana. Today, roughly 264 people still call this all but ghost town home.

Videographer David Eggebraaten visited St. Marie back in 2011 or 2012 and made this video to show what the town looks like after 40 years of little to no civilization.

Caution: It may leave you with an eerie feeling.
