Additional Information

Celebrating the lives of those whose presence is missed this holiday season, the 26th Hospice Tree of Lights ceremony begins at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2016, at RiverStone Health, 123 South 27th Street.

The non-denominational ceremony includes an invocation, reading names of those who are missed and lighting of the tree on the RiverStone Health campus. Refreshments will also be served.

The Tree of Lights ceremony offers community members a chance to celebrate loved ones who have passed, whether the loved one died weeks or years ago. Names of those honored by the tree’s lights are displayed in RiverStone Health’s Lil Anderson Center.

Contributions to the Tree of Lights assist RiverStone Health Hospice Services to provide care to terminally ill people and their families regardless of their financial situation.  RiverStone Health Hospice Services, the first hospice provider in the region, gives comfort-oriented care in an individual’s home or at the RiverStone Health Hospice Home. Hospice care focuses on maintaining quality of life rather than hastening or postponing death. This care helps families face the end-of-life with dignity, courage and strength.
