Fire Coverage And Logging

The first point that I want to make in my blog is about network media coverage of the fires in our state. Like, could we get some, please. I'm talking acreage burned, dollars spent, or even number of firefighters out on the front lines.

I'm not trying to take anything away from the tragedy that has struck the Houston area, but watch CBS/NBC/ABC/FOX news tonight and see what I'm talking about.

Next, I want to hear people's input on logging versus not doing any form of timber management. It's summers like this that show how not properly managing or forests and waiting for a hot, dry, lightning filled summer doesn't work. How can we get it fixed?
