DVASS, Domestic Violence Abuse Awareness Society,  is in need of volunteers to make “Words of Hope Cranes”. They will be making roughly 700-1000 cranes with prayers and words of strength for the families and students affected by the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut last Friday.

They will be folding cranes January 5th and 6th.  Local students are also encouraged to write condolence cards to the families and the students. They will also be taking monetary donations and care packages including toys, books, and stuffed animals.
Drop off points will be MSU Billings at McMullen Hall room 205, Lithia Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge of Billings on King Ave., KULR-8 Television, and Townsquare Media on the 23rd floor of the Crowne Plaza.
The send out date to Connecticut is Friday January 18th.  To get involved, log onto http://www.dvaas.org or call Jamie Palmieri Schoonover at 591-4085.
