I have always heard the saying "is the glass half full or half empty?  This is a common expression that can have two different meanings.

Are you a optimist and think it's half full or a pessimist and feel the glass is only half full.

Simply it demonstrates that the situation may be seen in different ways depending on one's point of view.

I never gave it much thought until the other day when I literally got a glass half full.

As the waitresses sat the glass down I wondered if she realized it was only half full.

I figured that at least there was something to drink and that I should just enjoy my beer and ask her about it when she came back.

To her credit she did explain that they had run out of that particular beer and that she would bring me what ever else I wanted and I wouldn't be charged for the half glass.

I laughed as I thought to myself "is the glass half full or half empty"? and how should I look at things.

Being a pessimist is no fun and it drains your energy.

I decided to be an optimist about it and just enjoy my time out with my husband.

My point is that we may not always see the glass as half full, it's much easier to see it half empty.

My advice is to always try to look at life and see the situation as the glass half full.
