I have been to a lot of sporting events in my day. I have also seen some bad things happen at those events.

From a friend of our family breaking his neck and becoming paralyzed while playing football to the countless times refs had to be escorted to their cars after making a bunch of bad calls at basketball games.

From what I have seen, getting things right while referring a game can be a difficult challenge. You're not always going to get it right, but that is part of the job. Just do the best you can and most definitely, don't lose your temper.

Bad sportsmanship is one thing, but when you let the game and the people get the best of you, that's when you have lost the game.

Also, when a fight breaks out, break it up...do not join in because when you get one guy down his buddies will back him up. Just saying.

You can learn that lesson first hand in the video I would like to call, "What Not To Do When Referring A Game." I don't think he will be doing this again anytime soon.

According to the New York Daily News, the referee has been banned from the league for life, while the trainer received an indefinite suspension (although he later stepped down from the team).

What's the craziest thing you have ever seen while attending a game in Billings?
