When arriving in a new town, it can sometimes be difficult to feel at home and welcome. You can go day to day and not even feel noticed.

This is far from the truth for my family and me after arriving in Billings a month ago. At first sight we discovered a very beautiful town and area. The people we ran into at stores and on the street have been more than kind to us. Then comes my radio show on Cat Country 102.9. You, the Cat Pack, have overwhelmed me with positive response to my show and I have loved every minute of it.

Yesterday was exceptionally awesome.

I was in the studio, when one of the ladies from the office came to me and told me there were a couple of listeners that wanted to say "Hi" to me. This is always exciting . As I left the studio and walked to the front lobby, I was greeted by a girl named Hannah and her mother.

Hannah smiled bashfully and handed me a card and a box up cupcakes. They both began to tell me how much they love to listen every afternoon. This is where I began to blush. All I could do at that point was say thank you.

This absolutely made my day.

You see, I am a very shy guy. Radio has been my outlet to break out of my shell and comfort zone. It has helped me over the years, but sometimes it can still be hard.

My only hope is that I provide you with the best in entertainment each afternoon. Lord only knows I try my hardest.

Thank you, Hannah. Please tell your mom, "Thank you" as well. I really appreciate what you did and, of course, you can “bug” me as much as you want. She’ll know what that means.
