Today is the official change of season from summer into fall?  Or is it summer into autumn?

I suppose it depends on what part of the world you grew up in.

Officially autumn is interchangeably known as fall in North America.

We know that autumn marks the transition from summer into winter. But did you know that this happens in September in the Northern Hemisphere (September 23rd through December 21st this year) and in the Southern Hemisphere autumn generally runs March, April and May?

With the change of the season also comes cooler temperatures and the end of Daylight Savings Time (November 3rd we set our clocks back one hour) this means it will get dark earlier than it does now.

I say fall, like fall is in the air, look at all the fall colors.

I took a quick survey of the staff at the stations and asked them what season comes after summer?

Ninety-eight percent of those surveyed saidf.

But as usual there is that one person (Kelly) that says autumn

What  do you say? Fall or autumn?
