I heard that, by law, every single Australian HAS to learn how to swim. Now, I'm not one for the government getting into my business, any more than they already do. But, that seems like a good idea to me.

In fact, let's go one step further and make our list of stuff everybody should know how to do before the age of 18. Here's mine:

1. Learn to swim.

2. Shoot and clean a game animal.

3. Learn how to clean. And I mean, mop floors, clean toilets, and do about 1000 dishes in one sitting.

4. Learn some carpentry. Trust me. You're going to need this one.

5. Learn to give. Get kids involved by working at the Rescue Mission, helping out the less fortunate, maybe lending a hand at Flakesgiving.

What's on your list?
