It's time to show some respect for a flag that represents a country that we love so dearly. Today is National Flag Day.

National Flag Day is celebrated annually in the United States on June 14.  This day commemorates the adoption of the United States flag on June 14, 1777.

We as Americans take this day to show respect for the U.S. Flag and what it represents to us as a people.

In case you didn't know, the design of our flag has been modified 26 times since it's original version with 17 year-old Robert G. Heft of Ohio being credited with designing the 50-star American flag that we see today.

To celebrate this day, fly your flag high and use #NationalFlagDay to post on social media.

Happy National Flag Day!
