Holiday Scratch Tickets Are Gifts That Keep Giving

I'm what you'd call a drive-by lottery player.

I usually drop $5 on a handful when I go through the convenience store, and I like to scratch off the winning amount FIRST to see what I will win BEFORE I see if the symbols match. If you haven't seen the newest scratch games, the Montana Lottery has three out for the holidays: Frosty Fun $1, Holiday Cash $1, and Winter Ice Doubler $2.

Holiday scratch tickets are great gifts for coworkers and those friends who seem to have everything. They even are fun stocking stuffers (For adults! Must be 18 to play). I'm definitely tempted to gift a bunch to my mom, who loves to play the Lottery and always talks about the charities she would help if she ever won big.

I stepped away from work for a few minutes last week to try a Holiday Cash ticket:

 I had a couple $100 slots but sadly, I didn't have the tree symbol needed to win. Maybe next time.

My holiday shopping definitely would have been more fun if I had won an extra $100, but I like the idea that I could be giving a buddy a holiday financial boost by gifting him a Lottery ticket.

To know I was part of helping someone financially would make me feel good. Even if they don't win, they know I was thinking about them. And if they do win, hope they remember who hooked up the ticket!
