K-Mart Closing

It has been announced that we are going to lose our K-Mart here in Billings. In late July, they'll shut the doors.

K-Mart USED to be where we bought quite a few things. I remember buying everything from school clothes to records at our K-Mart.  But then we got Targets, Walmarts, and slowly but surely K-Mart lost more and more market share.

Remember the "Flashing Blue Light Special?" That was so cool. Two different kinds of Icees. And because we didn't have a lot of money, I didn't wear Nikes, I wore those blue suede K-Mart shoes.

But, we all started shopping elsewhere. I can't remember buying anything at a K-Mart other than some golf balls in the last 20 years.

And now some prime, west end real estate will be available. Maybe now we can get a Chili's/Hooters/Dave & Busters/Joe's Crab Shack.
