Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley and Keith Urban offered up a tribute to David Bowie during Friday night's (Sept. 9) Stand Up to Cancer TV special. The three country acts performed the late icon's "Heroes" during the benefit event.

LBT, Bentley and Urban's performance took place at the 2016 ACM Honors ceremony, which also aired on Friday night; readers can press play on the video above to watch. "Heroes" was written by Bowie and Brian Eno, and appears on Bowie's 1977 album of the same name. Bowie passed away in January, following a previously undisclosed battle with cancer, and although "Heroes" was not a chart hit when it was released, it has since become one of the legend's most well-known songs.

The Stand Up to Cancer event aired live from Los Angeles, with a number of networks joining forces for the event. In addition to Urban, Bentley and LBT, the star-studded show also featured Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey, Emma Stone, Anna Kendrick and Stand Up to Cancer co-founder Katie Couric, and Celine Dion performed a special tribute after losing her husband, René Angélil, to throat cancer in January. The event was produced by Academy Award-nominated actor Bradley Cooper.

Urban’s performance for Stand Up to Cancer came less than a year after his father, Robert, passed away from cancer in December of 2015. Little Big Town’s Jimi Westbrook lost his sister, Joyce Morgan, to cancer in December as well.
