Kenny Chesney's summer stadium shows aren't a new concept, but somehow, the star manages to reinvent the wheel with each passing year — and people are coming out in droves. On Saturday night (July 11), the entertainer broke his own, already big record at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.

This wasn't Chesney's first time at the venue — his eighth, actually — but they were definitely his biggest numbers yet. The "Wild Child" singer sold 55,131 seats to The Big Revival tour show, breaking his own sales record in the city!

“It’s funny when you go back to markets in this size venue tour after tour, you wonder if people are ever going to get tired of the big show, the long day – and listening to the crowd last night, they were as alive, as loud, as crazy about the music as they were in 2006," Chesney remarks, comparing the 2015 show to the first time he played the the Philly venue.

He's right that the audience was as alive as ever — they sang along to every song during the two-hour set, including the three No. 1 hits from his The Big Revival album, "Wild Child," "American Kids" and "Til It's Gone." Chesey surprised fans by bringing out Eric Church, who was also on the bill, for "When I See This Bar" and "Livin' in Fast Forward."

“The folks in Philly really brought it," Chesney admits. "When I heard the crowd before we got out onstage, when the pre-tape is rolling, you knew friends were made, fun was had – and the reason they’d come out was more than met. After all these years, that’s everything about why I do this."

Chesney's 2015 tour has already pulled in more than $50 million.
