Kids and pets have a lot in common. They both need time, attention and love. If you short-change them any of those three ingredients you shouldn't have them to start with.

They'll get bored, feel abandoned and not get the proper guidance and direction they need.

What they need should come first and all of your needs should come second. So many kids are put in daycare centers for eight hours a day and so many pets are put in kennels all day.

We think they should understand why we do it. Well, they don't.

They don't understand why the people they love the most put them in the hands of strangers for most of their day. Is that really being fair to them?

They're yours and your responsibility but you can do what you want.
