In March, some of country music's biggest stars will come together in Nashville to pay tribute to Kris Kristofferson with an all-star tribute concert.

Produced by Blackbird Presents, The Life & Songs of Kris Kristofferson will be a one-night-only event honoring the country icon. The show is scheduled to take place on March 16 at Music City's Bridgestone Arena, and Lady AntebellumDierks BentleyRyan BinghamRosanne Cash, Eric Church, Emmylou Harris, Jamey Johnson, Willie Nelson, Darius Rucker and Trisha Yearwood are all slated to perform. Kristofferson himself will also take the stage, and additional performers are going to be announced in the coming weeks.

“Few musicians have had as profound an impact on music as Kris Kristofferson,” says Keith Wortman, the creator and executive producer of the show. “It’s only fitting that we celebrate his artistry just blocks from where the legend was born, with both his friends and contemporaries, and those who are continuing his legacy with raw, honest songwriting of their own.”

Adds producer Don Was, “A major reason for Kris' enduring popularity is that he's always been very honest and open about revealing his inner life. In doing that, he has created an incredible body of work that has resonated for decades with millions of listeners. It's always a deeply moving experience to sing and play his songs."

A Grammy- and Golden Globe-winning singer, songwriter and actor, Texas native Kristofferson helped modernize country music with songs such as “Sunday Mornin' Comin’ Down,” “Help Me Make It Through the Night,” “Me and Bobby McGee” and “Lovin' Her Was Easier." Fans can be certain that many of his most popular songs will be performed by the all-star group of country singers at the upcoming show.
